Susan Hershman of STUDIO+ONE:DESIGN is a passionate, friendly and accessible (down to earth) interior designer and published author of: House Colors: Exterior Color by Style of Architecture, Gibbs-Smith Publishers, October 2007.
She can help you with all of your design needs, including interior architecture, interior design, exterior design, interior decorating, interior and exterior color, space planning, furniture procurement, fine art consultation and exterior photography and we'll have fun while we're doing it!
Susan studied fine arts and received a B.F.A. and M.A. with a focus in contemporary ceramic sculpture. After receiving a grant from the Belgian Ministry to teach and lecture on the subject of 'Contemporary Bay Area Ceramic Art' throughout Belgium, she returned to the U.S. to study her first true lifes passion, interior design. She received her second B.F.A. in interior architecture from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where she graduated with honors.
She worked at Gensler, RMW and other high end contract design and architectural firms in San Francisco and has happily never looked back. With the birth of her son, she hung up her own shingle and switched her focus to residential and hospitality design. This allowed her to follow her two passions concurrently, interior design and motherhood. Having raised her beautiful son, the rest of her professional life can now be spent sharing her love of design with others full time. Allow Susan Hershman the immense pleasure of joining you on your journey into the discovery of how great design and color can help to transform your life!
